DriveScrubber Bootable Disk

To wipe all the contents of a system drive, DriveScrubber uses a bootable disk that runs a DOS-based program. This allows all data, including the operating system, to be erased.

You can use the DriveScrubber 3 installation CD (if you purchased a CD) as the bootable disk, or you can create your own bootable disk using the System Drive option on the Wipe All Content of a Drive Wizard  or the Create DriveScrubber Bootable Disk Wizard. Once you have a bootable disk:

  1. Put the bootable disk in the drive.

  2. Start/restart your computer.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to wipe all the contents of selected drives. See Wiping Drives from the Bootable Disk for more instruction.
